The Alarmbridge Service manages alarm communication across a wide range of protocols and device types. Designed for interoperability, reliability, and security, the Alarmbridge Service simplifies integration with ARCs and monitoring platforms, supporting both analog and digital protocols. The service provides broad device interoperability across numerous device suppliers and is integrated and certified with major ARC platforms. Below are the key benefits and features.
Protocol Interworking Across Numerous Standards: Supports a wide range of alarm protocols, IP-based protocols include SIA, SCAIP, LACS, and NOW-IP, analog protocols include BS 8521:1, TT92, TTNew and P100. This eliminates compatibility challenges between systems and enables seamless communication.
Dependable Alarm Handling: Manages the entire lifecycle of an alarm session, covering event decoding, two-way voice communication, and structured disconnect, ensuring dependable and uninterrupted alarm handling.
Flexible Integration Options: Integrates effortlessly with external applications via API and callback support, or operate as a stand-alone protocol converter, providing flexibility for both simple and complex deployments. With the Alexa Interface, the same Alarmbridge workflows can also be used for Alexa-originated assistance and alarm events in managed property environments.
Reliable Connectivity Monitoring: Uses heartbeat signals to continuously track device connectivity, issuing automated alerts to the ARC if connectivity is lost, ensuring real-time operational oversight.
Secure and Compliant Communication: Built on a secure, cloud-native infrastructure, the Alarmbridge Service supports end-to-end encryption and high availability, ensuring reliable alarm handling for large-scale, critical applications.
Unified Alarm Protocol Conversion: Converts incoming alarm events across multiple protocols, supporting IP-based protocols such as SIA, SCAIP, and NOW-IP, as well as analog protocols including BS8521, TT92, TTNew and P100. The Alarmbridge Service serves as a robust protocol decoder with high rate of successful calls, especially for analog protocols transmitted over IP, ensuring reliable and accurate event handling across different protocols.
In-Call Command Support: Allows ARC operators to issue in-call commands for volume control or communication mode switching.
Alexa Interface Support: Allows Alexa-enabled property devices to participate in Alarmbridge workflows by converting Alexa-originated assistance or calling interactions into normalized alarm events, callbacks, and outbound ARC routing. This is useful for hospitality, healthcare, senior living, and other managed properties where voice access to staff or emergency help is required.
Heartbeat Monitoring: Continuously monitors device connectivity through periodic heartbeat signals. If a signal is missing, the Alarmbridge Service triggers an alarm callback, alerting the ARC to potential connectivity issues and enable quick action.
Scalable, Cloud-Native Architecture: Built on a highly scalable platform, the Alarmbridge Service handles high volumes of alarm events and voice calls, supporting organizational growth without requiring additional hardware.
Security and Compliance: Encrypts all voice, video, and alarm data, ensuring compliance with stringent industry security standards.
With its extensive feature set, proven live performance, and broad device interoperability, the Alarmbridge Service offers ARCs, monitoring platforms, and device manufacturers a reliable, scalable, and protocol-agnostic solution for managing different alarm communication needs, particularly within complex environments like group living.
