The cloud service model is all about flexibility and efficiency. Instead of managing your own hardware, everything is hosted in the cloud, which means no large upfront investments or maintenance worries. As your business grows, the SIP Mediaserver Service scales with you letting you handle higher communication volumes with ease.
One of the most significant advantages is the pay-as-you-use pricing model. You only pay for the resources and services you actively use. This makes costs more predictable and allows you to align your expenses directly with your usage, ensuring there are no surprises at the end of the month.
The cost structure of the SIP Mediaserver Service is designed to reflect actual usage, making it both flexible and easy to understand. The SIP Mediaserver Service is charged for as follows.
SIP Mediaserver Service calls are charged based on the total number of minutes originating from and terminating in the SIP Mediaserver Service per month. In a media server session there may be multiple originating or terminating call-legs for different participants. Each call leg duration is counted individually per minute. For example, if a caller place a call into an IVR application and listens to an audio prompt, this call duration counts as one terminating call leg. When that caller is connected to another participant, an additional originating call leg is added, and both call legs are counted per minute for the duration they are active.
How it's calculated
If your usage reaches 5,000 SIP Mediaserver Service Call Minutes in a month with a rate of $X per minute, the total cost for SIP Mediaserver Service Call Minutes would be calculated as 5,000 x $X.
SIP Mediaserver Service recordings are charged separately for the duration of any active call recording sessions. These minutes are charged for in addition to SIP Mediaserver Service Call Minutes. For instance, if recording is enabled for a connection between two participants, the recording minutes accumulate for the duration of the session.
How it's calculated
If 2,000 minutes of calls are recorded within a month and the rate is $Y per minute, the cost for Recording minutes would be 2,000 x $Y.
SIP Mediaserver Service call monitoring is charged separately for the duration of the monitoring session. These minutes are charged in addition to the regular SIP Mediaserver Service Call Minutes. For example, when call monitoring is enabled for a session between two participants, the monitoring minutes accumulate for the duration that the third-party listener is connected.
How it's calculated
If 1,500 minutes of call monitoring are used in a month and the rate is $Z per minute, the total cost for Call Monitoring minutes would be calculated as 1,500 x $Z.
