iotcomms.io Launches Alarmbridge Connect for UK Group Livings
iotcomms.io, the global provider of a cloud-native communication platform for alarm, voice, and video services, launches Alarmbridge Connect to ensure a working alarm communication service for UK group livings today and after the PSTN switch-off. Alarmbridge Connect provides reliable alarm communication between warden call systems and alarm receiving centres (ARC) over a protected Internet connection, hence replacing the PSTN connection.

As earlier announced by BT, the PSTN will be switched off in the UK by the end of December 2025. This means that alarm communication between group livings’s warden call systems and alarm receiving centers (ARC) can not be transmitted over the PSTN network after this date.

Alarmbridge Connect allows group livings to continue using their existing alarm infrastructure, and converts the analogue alarm communication to a digital protocol for delivery to a digitally enabled ARC. The analogue alarm communication is encapsulated and reliably transmitted via an encrypted internet connection.

"We are happy to solve the PSTN switch-off problem for UK group livings with a cloud service that not only solves the immediate problem with the analogue network closing, but also introduces a cloud-based and digital-ready system that enables a smooth migration to an all-IP alarm communication environment and a modern approach to tackling the needs in telecare."
